Iron-On Instructions
To properly apply your iron-on labels, please follow the important instructions below:
- Cut one label off from the Iron on Label Sheet
- See where the label will fit best
- Make sure it’s flat with no wrinkles (iron it flat if necessary{The garment})
- Apply labels to CLEAN, thoroughly dry garments only. Labels applied to soiled or damp garments will not adhere properly.
- Set your iron to the hottest setting – NO STEAM!
- Empty all water from the iron.
- Wait until the iron gets hot.
- For best results DO NOT apply to tags, apply directly to clothing.
- Remove the backing from the label (Not the front transparent transfer material.
- Place label on garment in desired position.
- Cover label with a thin dry pressing cloth.
- FIRMLY press heated iron on the thin dry pressing cloth for 10-20 seconds. (Time and pressure is dependent on a few factors, you will need to see what works best for you)
- Verify your application time and iron temperature.
- When the front clear transfer material can be lifted easily and the label remains behind it should be stuck. Check it to see if it has stuck. It almost kind of melts into the fabric, so you should be able to kind of see the fabric pattern through the label (not always the case)
- If not stuck repeat the process until it does.
- Allow garment and label to cool to room temperature. Then try to peel the label off with your fingernail. If you can peel it off, your iron is not hot enough. (repeat the process)
- If you are having problems getting your labels to adhere properly, please read the following:
- Iron is not hot enough. Your iron should be on the hottest setting, NO STEAM
- Applying longer isn’t always better; applying heat to long may cause labels not to stick
- You are not using a proper pressing material. Material needs to be very, very thin
- Everyone’s iron is different. Try adjusting the amount of time you apply the iron to the labels.
Happy Sticking!!!!
